Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician II for US remote support. You will service and troubleshoot warranty issues on our datacenter cooling systems, working with end users and outside sales reps to resolve technical challenges and keep projects moving.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in installation, maintenance, or HVAC electromechanical work, strong blueprint reading, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years’ experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC servicing or similar electromechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to travel ~85% of the time to various job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Superior analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Ability to stay on project through root cause analysis.
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed expectations.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with outside technicians.

Responsibilities

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for Data Center Cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, and diagrams to determine tasks, tools, and parts.
• Coordinate with building owners, general/mechanical contractors, engineers, and local service providers.
• Consult with engineering and manufacturing to resolve unusual problems in system operation.
• Provide superior customer service while maintaining professionalism.
• Advise management on customer satisfaction and product improvements.
