Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling seeks a Field Service Technician to service warranty issues on our Datacenter product line and provide expert guidance to end users and outside sales reps.

The role requires traveling to multiple sites, performing commissioning, repair and troubleshooting of HVAC/electromechanical equipment, and delivering superior customer service with a proactive, safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years in installation, maintenance or troubleshooting; HVAC or electromechanical experience preferred.
• Ability to travel ~85% to various job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Strong reading of blueprints, plans and manuals; attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and independent work style.

Responsibilities

• Commission, repair and service mechanical and electrical equipment for Data Center projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints and diagrams to determine tasks, tools and parts needed.
• Coordinate with owners, contractors, engineers and local servicing groups.
• Provide superior customer service and professional demeanor with internal and external customers.
• Consult with engineering to resolve unusual system operation problems.
