Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling seeks a Service Technician – Data Center Service to handle warranty-related service issues for our Datacenter product line. You will provide service, guidance, and technical expertise to end users and outside sales reps.

The role requires extensive travel (about 85%) to client sites across the US, with a hands-on, collaborative approach and a focus on safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience; HVAC experience preferred.
• Ability to travel ~85% of the time to various job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed internal and external customer expectations.
• Ability to work independently in a timely manner, coordinating with outside technicians and following up on parts delivery.

Responsibilities

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for Data Center Cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and related materials to determine tasks, tools, and parts.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers while maintaining a professional appearance.
• May advise management on customer satisfaction, product performance, and improvements.
