Job summary

GCI Communication Corp is seeking an entry-level Field Service Technician I in Alaska. You will install, service and troubleshoot video, data and voice services from the tap to customer premises, supporting senior technicians and ensuring quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; certifications may be required within defined period.
• Minimum of six (6) months in a technical role or related background.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment for video, voice, and data services.
• Perform routine maintenance and testing on RF, analog, microwave, fiber optic, and electrical components.
• Assist senior technicians and mentor junior technicians on install, test, and repair tasks.
• Maintain vehicle, inventory, and safety compliance; follow company policies.
