Job summary

GCI in Alaska is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot Video, Voice, and Data services within residential and commercial properties. You will ensure high-quality workmanship and mentor junior technicians to uphold company standards.

Responsibilities include complex installations, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting, with on-site customer communication and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six years in a broadband, data, networking, telecom role or related background.
• One year of complex related field experience.
• Physical ability to perform duties described including climbing, lifting, and working in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot Video, Voice, and Data services at customer sites.
• Perform routine maintenance on RF, analog, microwave, fiber, and electrical components.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians; coordinate with dispatch and other departments.
• Complete documentation, collect payments, and obtain customer signatures as required.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment inventory and adhere to safety policies.
