Job summary

GCI is seeking an entry-level Field Service Technician I to install, service, and troubleshoot Video, Data, and Voice services in Alaska. You will work with senior technicians, perform on-site customer interactions, and support ongoing maintenance and safety procedures.

Travel in a remote Alaskan environment is required; you will follow company guidelines, use standard test equipment, and maintain vehicles and inventory while learning certifications to advance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Defensive Driving and required certifications may be needed.
• Willingness to obtain additional telecom certifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment for video, voice, and data services.
• Perform preventative or corrective maintenance on RF, analog, microwave, fiber, and electrical components.
• Operate and interpret test equipment to ensure signal quality and reliability.
• Communicate with customers on-site and promote additional services.
• Assist senior technicians and support field operations.
