Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required, technical training preferred.
• Experience or training in telecom upgrades, install and repair.
• Capacity to read maps, schematics, and field instructions.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot telecom equipment from demarc to home/office.
• Perform routine service on RF, analog, microwave, fiber, and AC/DC components.
• Refer problems between demark and headend to network techs.
• Disconnects/reconnects and replace faulty connections as needed.
• Use test equipment to adjust signal strength for optimum reception.
• Preventative/corrective maintenance including locates and outage response.
• Interact with customers on-site and offer additional services.
• Support senior techs and mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain basic vehicle and follow safety policies.
• Complete written work orders, dispatch updates, and payments when required.
