Job summary

Herc Rentals Inc in Denver, CO seeks a Field Service Mechanic C to service HVAC, generators and pumps on customer sites.

As an entry level technician, you’ll learn product standards, perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, stay compliant with safety rules, and deliver timely service reports to keep equipment ready for the next job. You must have a valid driver’s license and basic hand tools, enjoy working independently, and build positive relationships with customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand detailed technical schematics, owner manuals, and product warning labels.
• Ownership of sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• A valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, portable and stationary generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc-owned fleet at long-term customer sites.
• Diagnose heavy equipment and service oil changes, lubrication, tires, hoses, and batteries.
• Diagnose fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems and address issues.
• Produce timely service reports and repair logs.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area on site.
