Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic B to service generators, pumps and HVAC equipment on customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair heavy equipment, and educate customers on proper usage while maintaining safety standards.

You must own necessary tools, be capable of reading schematics, and be available for on-site and on-call work as needed. The role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read detailed technical schematics and manuals.
• Own a selection of hand and air/electric tools.
• Operate and test equipment such as generators, hydraulics, pumps, forklifts and boom lifts.
• On-call availability for operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Herc fleet at customer job sites.
• Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose/pump repairs and related services.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to maintain operation.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic and propane systems.
• Produce detailed service reports and repair logs.
• Build positive relationships with customers and ensure safety on site.
