Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A- Pump, Power & HVAC to lead on-site maintenance for customer jobsites. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair heavy equipment, and ensure safety and reliability of the fleet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators, hydraulics, pumps and assorted tools.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs.
• Ability to be on call to support operational needs.
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Herc fleet at customer job sites.
• Oversee oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements.
• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment to ensure proper operation at the job site.
• Troubleshoot fuel, electrical, hydraulic, and propane systems.
• Return equipment to safe functioning state; refresh worn parts.
