Job summary

Plug Power seeks a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products in electric lift trucks, performing preventive maintenance and resolving breakdowns at a customer site. You will install and service fuel cells, report breakdown events, order parts, and maintain fuel-cell systems at a specific location.

This role requires strong technical, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently, lift 50 pounds, and travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• 3+ years in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and evaluations to maintain the fleet.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support as required.
• Purchase tools, equipment, and parts for service needs.
• Travel to customer sites as needed and maintain safety procedures.
