Job summary

Plug Power Inc. will employ a Field Service Technician to support fuel cell products installed in electric lift trucks, performing preventative maintenance and resolving breakdowns at a dedicated location.

You install and service fuel cells, report breakdowns, order parts and maintain site documentation while communicating with customer personnel. The role requires strong technical, communication and interpersonal skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent with technical electrical coursework.
• Three (3) or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Lift truck operation knowledge is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and service of fuel cells at customer sites.
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to maintain the fleet at a location.
• Perform field retrofits and software/hardware upgrades to fuel cells.
• Provide on-call and emergency support; order tools, equipment, and parts.
• Maintain safety procedures and documentation, including incident reports and logs.
