Job summary

ECOLAB in the DC/Baltimore market is seeking a Field Service Technician to deliver service, installations, maintenance, and issue resolution for warewashing, laundry, and dispensing equipment across Institutional segments.

This field-based role requires travel to assigned locations, a 10‑hour shift pattern, a company vehicle, and paid training. You’ll build product and customer program expertise while upholding Ecolab Brand Standards and delivering a trusted, high‑quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of service-related experience, such as maintaining, troubleshooting, and installing equipment.
• Current and valid Driver's License with no restrictions.
• No Immigration Sponsorship available for this position.
• Availability to work overnight shifts and provide emergency call assistance which may occur at night, on weekends and over holidays.
• Preferred: Associate's degree or other advanced education or certifications.
• Preferred: mechanical problem-solving experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or equipment repair across related industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide service-intensive support to customers across the market, including aligned and centralized customers.
• Install, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on warewashing, laundry, dispensing equipment, and related systems.
• Complete emergency service requests, equipment changeouts, and other planned and unplanned work orders reliably and efficiently.
• Evaluate account conditions during each visit and proactively take action to help ensure customers meet Ecolab Brand Standards.
• Manage equipment, parts, and inventory to maintain a fully stocked vehicle, maximize effectiveness, and support first-time fix performance.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation for all work performed.
• Communicate Ecolab's total value to customers and strengthen customer relationships.
• Partner with sales, distribution, and service teams to improve responsiveness, reduce friction, and deliver a consistent customer experience.
