Job summary

Sudden Service, Inc. in Laredo, TX seeks a full-time diesel mechanic to support service after sales for Taylor equipment. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and train junior technicians while maintaining clear communication with customers and supervisors.

The role requires hydraulics and diesel repair experience, welding aptitude, and a valid driver's license with DOT certification. Expect travel and on-site servicing at customer locations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have a valid driver's license.
• DOT certification is required and 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Supervisor to plan work and travel schedule.
• Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace worn parts and test devices.
• Provide tools, parts and arrange facilities for repair work.
• Inspect machines on delivery and during service intervals for proper operation.
• Report time, parts, travel and billing information to ensure accurate charges.
• Train junior technicians or supervise a team on large repairs.
• Complete job paperwork in a timely manner.
• All other duties as assigned.
