Job summary

The Taylor Group Inc. is seeking a skilled service technician for field-based work in Laredo, TX. The role focuses on maintaining strong customer relations and delivering prompt service for new and used equipment, including on-site inspections and training operators as needed.

Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions, performing repairs, and reporting time and parts for accurate billing. A valid driver’s license and willingness to stay overnight occasionally are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record; DOT certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedule, prioritizing customer needs.
• Diagnose malfunctions, repair/replace worn parts, and install new assemblies or devices to keep machines operational.
• Provide tools and parts and arrange facilities to perform repair work, usually on customer premises.
• Inspect, operate, and test machines on delivery and after repairs to ensure proper function and reporting.
