Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service Inc. is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to support exclusive worldwide distribution of genuine Taylor OEM parts and forklift service across our nationwide network.

The role reports to the Service Supervisor and involves on-site and customer-premises repairs, focusing on timely troubleshooting and high-quality workmanship. Candidates should have hydraulics and diesel repair experience, welding skills, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair.
• Three years of on-the-job experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics.
• Welding skills and AWSD14 training encouraged for career progression.

Responsibilities

• Plan work and travel with the Service Supervisor, prioritizing customer needs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace worn parts.
• Provide tools and arrange facilities to perform repairs on site or at customer premises.
• Inspect and test machines on delivery and after repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Document customer details, machine description, and repairs for accurate billing.
• Pursue ongoing technical skills through company training and seminars.
• Maintain a neat appearance and keep the service vehicle clean and orderly.
• Assist and train junior servicemen on large or joint repair jobs.
