Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service seeks a skilled field service technician to perform maintenance and repair on Taylor equipment, travelling to customer sites and training operators on safe operation and maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, replacing components, inspecting machines, and ensuring accurate time, parts, and travel reporting. Requires hydraulics/diesel experience, DOT cert, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair.
• Three years of on-the-job experience in diesel mechanics and hydraulics.
• Must be DOT certifiable and at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Plan work and travel with Service Supervisor to meet customer needs.
• Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace worn parts to restore operation.
• Provide tools/parts and arrange facilities for on-site repair.
• Inspect and test machines after delivery and repair work.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork promptly.
• Mentor/train junior servicemen as needed.
