Job summary

Sudden Service, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to maintain and repair Taylor equipment at customer sites and on company premises. You will diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and ensure proper reporting of time and parts.

You will travel to customer locations, operate with safety, complete paperwork timely, and train junior staff as needed. A valid CDL/DOT certification and diesel hydraulics experience are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• DOT certifiable (must be 21+).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure field work.
• Three years of on-the-job diesel mechanics and hydraulics experience; vocational schooling can substitute part of experience.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedule.
• Diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace worn parts; install new assemblies.
• Provide tools and parts and arrange facilities to perform repair work at customer premises.
• Inspect, operate, and test machines to ensure proper functioning.
• Complete work orders and paperwork (JSA, inspection reports, receipts) promptly.
• Train new servicemen or supervise a team on large unit servicing.
