Job summary

Greenway Equipment, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to independently perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on John Deere equipment. The role includes field service, thorough documentation, and participation in training to advance skills.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in John Deere equipment.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and following technical manuals.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues and document work clearly.
• Experience with basic computer functions such as Service Advisor or equivalent computer based diagnostic tools.
• Positive attitude and a desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
• Carry out field service and on-site repairs as needed.
• Develop understanding of all technology offerings and stay current.
• Maintain thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs on repair orders.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
• Follow safety rules and complete required reports and forms.
• Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Will maintain current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Mentors Service Technician Apprentices and junior Service Technicians.
