Job summary

Greenway Equipment seeks a Service Technician to independently diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural and outdoor power equipment. You will work on John Deere products in the field and shop environments, documenting work and managing time for billing.

The role requires safety adherence, strong diagnostic skills, and a customer-focused attitude. You will also mentor apprentices and stay up-to-date on product knowledge, while supporting training programs and teamwork across the service

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in John Deere equipment.
• Experience using special tools and following Technical Manual procedures.
• Ability to diagnose technical issues.
• Experience with Service Advisor or similar diagnostic tools.
• Positive attitude and focus on exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment.
• Performs repairs in the field as required.
• Develops understanding of technology offerings.
• Accounts for billable time and documents diagnostics/repairs.
• Participates in Greenway Equipment training programs.
• Follows safety rules and regulations in work assignments.
• Prepares reports and forms for work assignments.
• Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitors.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Mentors apprentices and junior technicians.
