Job summary

F6 Data Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to support startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of hyperscale data center cooling systems. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues in dynamic project environments, perform checks, and document findings.

The role involves travel up to 100% with expenses covered, competitive $40–$50 hourly pay, and opportunities to advance within the field service path.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years' experience working with HVAC, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Experience working with hydronic systems preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and piping diagrams.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Support startup and commissioning activities for cooling systems in data center environments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues during startup and operation.
• Perform pre-functional equipment checks and verify piping connections.
• Maintain documentation like startup checklists and field reports.
• Coordinate with startup leads and senior technicians and participate in safety meetings.
