Job summary

F6 Data Solutions is hiring Field Service Technicians to support startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of critical cooling systems in hyperscale data centers. This hands-on role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, following safety procedures, and working with senior technicians on complex startups.

The position involves up to 100% travel, including flights and per diem, with responsibilities spanning equipment startup, commissioning checks, and field documentation.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years' experience in HVAC, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with hydronic systems preferred.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and piping diagrams.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics and control systems.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Reliable transportation for local travel when applicable.
• Willingness to fly to work regions.

Responsibilities

• Support startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mission-critical cooling systems in hyperscale data centers.
• Perform troubleshooting with minimal supervision and assist senior technicians during complex startups.
• Support equipment startup and commissioning for CRAH, IRHX, and DAHU systems.
• Execute pre-functional equipment checks and assist with commissioning tests.
• Identify system performance issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Troubleshoot hydronic, chilled water, glycol, and air handling systems.
• Troubleshoot 120V and 480V electrical systems, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Maintain documentation and reports, coordinate with startup leads, attend safety meetings.
