Job summary

Edge Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, and service magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer sites across a defined region.

You will travel on-site for troubleshooting and networking with customers, receiving prior briefings from Technical Support to address their needs. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and CNC/electronics knowledge.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of related service technician experience or equivalent certified training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and represent the company.
• Knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CNC turning centers, especially sliding headstock lathes, is a plus.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to use Windows and Salesforce Lightning.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and service magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer sites.
• Travel on-site for customer troubleshooting; overnight travel 50-75% depending on base.
• Receive briefing from Technical Support before visiting customers.
• Tools and instruments provided; install or repair and maintain equipment.

What is the day to day like for | Service Technician

As a field service technician you are an important face of the organization.

You will participate with installation, repairs, and maintaining the equipment while adding value for the customer.

You will travel on-site for troubleshooting any issues our customer has with machinery.

Prior to visiting any customer, you will receive important information related to improvement opportunities from your fellow Technical Support associates. This briefing will include any action or troubleshooting activities already taken with the customer in an attempt to address their needs.

The Service Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and servicing magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer locations throughout a specified region.

What You Need For This Job

Related service technician experience of two through five years or equivalent certified technical training on industrial equipment that utilizes PLC/HMI driven motion control.

Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and professionally represent the company are critical requirements.

The person with proven knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.

Knowledge of CNC turning centers, specifically sliding headstock lathes, is a plus. Must possess above average computer skills and be able to use Windows and other software packages such as Salesforce Lightning.

Work Schedule

We generally work first shift Monday-Friday and travel as needed

Overnight travel will be 50 - 75% depending on your base of operation.
