Job summary

Edge Technologies is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our Technical Support team and support the Detroit/Southern Michigan region. You will install, troubleshoot, and service magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer sites, with guidance from Technical Support before visits.

Travel will be required, and you will use Windows-based software such as Salesforce Lightning to document activities. A strong emphasis on communication and professionalism is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Related service technician experience of two through five years or equivalent certified technical training on industrial equipment that utilizes PLC/HMI driven motion control.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and professionally represent the company is a critical requirement.
• Knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CNC turning centers, specifically sliding headstock lathes, is a plus.
• Must possess above-average computer skills and be able to use Windows and other software packages such as Salesforce Lightning.

Responsibilities

• Overnight travel will be 50 - 75% depending on your base of operation
