Job summary

Edge Technologies is a leading provider of machine tool automation and peripheral equipment for the metalworking industry. We seek a Field Service Technician to join our Technical Support team in the Southern California region.

This role involves installing, troubleshooting, and servicing magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer sites, with travel across a defined region. Training and support are provided to ensure success in the field.

Qualifications

• Two to five years related service technician experience or equivalent certified technical training on industrial equipment that utilizes PLC/HMI driven motion control.
• Ability to communicate with customers effectively and professionally represent the company.
• Knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of CNC turning centers, specifically sliding headstock lathes, is a plus.
• Proficient with Windows and software packages such as Salesforce Lightning.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and service magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer locations throughout a specified region.
• Receive a briefing from Technical Support before the customer visit, including actions taken to address needs.
• Use tools and instruments provided to perform service tasks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and servicing magazine bar feeder equipment on CNC lathes at customer locations throughout a specified region
• Receive a briefing from fellow Technical Support associates before the customer visit. This will include any action or troubleshooting activities already taken with the customer to address their needs
• Tools and instruments provided

Qualifications

• Related service technician experience of two through five years or equivalent certified technical training on industrial equipment that utilizes PLC/HMI driven motion control
• Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and professionally represent the company is a critical requirement
• Knowledge of industrial electronics, wiring, and electro-mechanical troubleshooting
• Knowledge of CNC turning centers, specifically sliding headstock lathes, is a plus
• Must possess above-average computer skills and be able to use Windows and other software packages such as Salesforce Lightning
