Paragon Pro Rentals in West Jordan, UT is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on rental and customer heavy equipment both in the shop and at customer sites.

The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, traveling to job sites, and ensuring safe, high-quality service with strong communication and teamwork.

A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required, with 2+ years in construction or equipment rental.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Valid Driver's License with clean MVR.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction or equipment rental.
• Two+ years of hands-on equipment/engine experience, diagnostics and troubleshooting with rental equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with computers and software such as Microsoft Office.

Job Details: Job Location: WEST JORDAN, UT 84088, The Field Service Technician applies mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance and repairs to all heavy equipment rentals and scissor lift equipment in the shop and at customer job sites; applies troubleshooting techniques and determines proper repair procedures; prepares parts requisitions.

Essential Functions

• Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of rental and customer heavy equipment with precision and expertise.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on-site or in the shop.
• Travel to customer jobsites to provide top-notch repair and maintenance services.
• Must have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Must have intermediate mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to perform repairs safely.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to interact professionally with customers and all levels of personnel within the organization.
• Must be a strong communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
• Must be self-directed and well organized with the ability to prioritize workload while providing excellent customer service.
• Demonstrates ability to learn and apply new knowledge.
• Proficient in use of technical software, databases and manuals.
• Must be able to function well in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work any shift and overtime as needed to meet business and customer demands.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License with clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within construction or equipment rental industry.
• Two or more years of previous hands-on equipment and/or engine experience, diagnostics and troubleshooting experience working with rental equipment.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with customers, management, and dealership co-workers.
• Maintain company and product confidentiality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic understanding of computers and software such as Microsoft Office Suite and other web-based applications.
• Excellent communication skills.
