Job summary

Lavatec Laundry Technology is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, service, and repair industrial laundry equipment across the United States. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, independent work, and frequent travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, performing preventive maintenance, and providing remote support. You will read schematics and work closely with customers to ensure top-tier service and timely

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical trade.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience servicing automated machinery or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission new machinery at customer sites.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform timely repairs.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
• Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Provide remote and telephone-based technical support.
• Analyze technical problems and identify effective solutions.
• Communicate with manufacturing facilities regarding diagnostics and repair procedures.
• Complete and submit accurate service reports.
• Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach on-site.
• Perform additional service-related duties as required.

To support our growing service organization, we are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with strong mechanical and electrical skills.

Your Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery at customer locations throughout the United States.

This is a highly hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working independently, and interacting directly with customers. The role requires extensive travel and occasional international travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission new machinery at customer sites
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete timely repairs
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs

What You Bring

• Professional experience in a mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical trade
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience servicing automated machinery or industrial equipment
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to read electrical, electronic, and hydraulic schematics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Independent, proactive, and results-oriented work style
• Clear communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with industrial production environments
• Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
• Willingness and ability to travel more than 80% of the time
• Employment type: Full-time
• Work location: Customer sites and home office
• Candidates located near Beacon Falls, Connecticut, may also work from the local facility
• Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday
• Extensive domestic travel with occasional international travel
