Job description

We are looking for a self-starter Field Service Laundry Technician to deliver the desired customer service experience. Our Techs provide mechanical repairs to washers and dryers at client locations within their assigned region. Technicians keep our machines running smoothly to meet customer expectations or the need for repeated service needs. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working independently and has a very strong mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with commercial laundry equipment, including washers and dryers. Identify the root cause of equipment failures and complete repairs accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and reliably. Replace worn or damaged components, make necessary adjustments, and identify potential issues before they lead to equipment downtime.
• App Documentation: Accurately document each service visit, including the issue identified, work completed, parts utilized, and any follow-up that may be required. Maintain timely and accurate service records within company systems.
• Parts & Equipment: Maintain an organized supply of parts, tools, and equipment needed to complete service calls. Identify parts requirements and communicate or submit requests for replacement components as needed.
• Safety & Quality: Follow all company, manufacturer, and safety procedures when servicing equipment. Work safely around electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other systems while protecting customer property and maintaining high-quality workmanship.

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record
• Drug test and background check is required.
• Weekend availability
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems
• Previous experience servicing appliances, commercial laundry equipment, HVAC, or another mechanical/electrical trade is preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize service calls, and manage time effectively
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Comfortable working with hand tools and mechanical equipment
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and parts weighing up to 75 pounds
• Basic computer skills for completing service documentation and communicating with customers and the office
• Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and weather conditions
