Job summary

The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites for commissioning, integration, and to provide problem solving solutions for a leading manufacturer of laser cutting and turning machinery. Strong customer service and clear communication are essential as you document service outcomes and coordinate with internal teams.

Based near Minneapolis, you will support the sales staff, demonstrate software capabilities, and ensure quality service while maintaining OSHA/MIOSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Support the sales staff in servicing company equipment at customer sites.
• Provide solutions for service of equipment at customer sites.
• Document all service performed and note future service needs.
• Maintain excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate company software capabilities to customers.
• Prepare timesheets, service reports and installation forms promptly.
• Track and report expenses accurately.
• Maintain a safe work environment in line with OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines.
• Communicate with other departments as needed.
• Work overtime as required by workload and customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for

Support ing the sales staff in servicing company equipment

P roviding solutions for service of equipment for customers at the customer site

Carefully and accurately document ing all service performed on the equipment as well as what service needs are to be accomplished on the equipment in the future

Maintain ing excellent customer service and customer satisfaction

Demonstrat ing applicable company software capabilities to the customer

Prepar ing timesheets, service reports and installation forms, timely and accurately

Accurately track ing expenses and complet ing expense reports in a timely manner

Maintain ing a safe work environment and operate within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines

Communicat ing with other departments as necessary

A bility to work overtime as required by workload and customer necessity

Other duties as assigned by management

The Field Service Technician will be rewarded with:

$30.00-$40.00 Hourly Pay

The Field Service Technician will excel with:

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Able to effectively use the Internet

Ability to understand and use I/O structure for technical trouble shooting purposes

Ability to effectively utilize electric/electronic test/measurement equipment

Must be able to effectively understand, analyze, and resolve technical mechanical or electrical issues based on measured data results

Proficient in reading and comprehending technical information as presented in equipment manuals or in electronic media

Ability to accurately document technical data in terms of the steps taken to resolve equipment and product issues

Ability to communicate technical issues as well as the steps taken to resolve those issues with the company corporate office

Proven customer service skills with a primary focus on customer relationships

Highly organized

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision

Resourceful; able to discern who to call for assistance based on the technical situation at hand

Must have excellent time management skills

Effective team player who can work with all levels of team members as well as with all different types and levels of customers

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
