Job summary

ProSearch RecruitingPartners is hiring a Field Service Technician to support a leading CNC machinery OEM. You will travel to customer sites for commissioning, integration, and service, documenting visits and resolving technical issues.

Applicants must live within 50 miles of a major airport and be prepared to travel 90–100% of the time; US work authorization is required. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Field service experience and ability to service equipment at customer sites.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and documentation software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales staff in servicing company equipment
• Provide solutions for service of equipment at customer sites
• Document all service performed and future needs
• Maintain excellent customer service and satisfaction
• Demonstrate company software capabilities to customers
• Prepare timesheets, service reports and installation forms
• Track expenses and submit expense reports timely
• Maintain a safe work environment per OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines
• Communicate with other departments as necessary
• Overtime as required by workload and customer needs

The Field Service Technician will travel to customer sites for commissioning, integration, and to provide problem solving solutions .

The Field Service Technician will be responsible for

• Support ing the sales staff in servicing company equipment
• P roviding solutions for service of equipment for customers at the customer site
• Carefully and accurately document ing all service performed on the equipment as well as what service needs are to be accomplished on the equipment in the future
• Maintain ing excellent customer service and customer satisfaction
• Demonstrat ing applicable company software capabilities to the customer
• Prepar ing timesheets, service reports and installation forms, timely and accurately
• Accurately track ing expenses and complet ing expense reports in a timely manner
• Maintain ing a safe work environment and operate within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines
• Communicat ing with other departments as necessary
• A bility to work overtime as required by workload and customer necessity
• Other duties as assigned by management

The Field Service Technician will be rewarded with:

The Field Service Technician will excel with:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Able to effectively use the Internet
• Ability to understand and use I/O structure for technical trouble shooting purposes
• Ability to effectively utilize electric/electronic test/measurement equipment
• Must be able to effectively understand, analyze, and resolve technical mechanical or electrical issues based on measured data results
• Proficient in reading and comprehending technical information as presented in equipment manuals or in electronic media
• Ability to accurately document technical data in terms of the steps taken to resolve equipment and product issues
• Ability to communicate technical issues as well as the steps taken to resolve those issues with the company corporate office
• Proven customer service skills with a primary focus on customer relationships
• Highly organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Resourceful; able to discern who to call for assistance based on the technical situation at hand
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Effective team player who can work with all levels of team members as well as with all different types and levels of customers
