Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a CNC Field Service Engineer to support major CNC machinery installations across the United States, including Portland, OR. The engineer will lead installation, testing, and commissioning, while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

This role requires 4+ years in CNC tooling and automation, PLC programming experience, and the ability to travel frequently. The company offers a competitive hourly wage with overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Electrical certification or electronics technology degree preferred.
• 4+ years of experience with CNC machining centers, CNCRouters, Edgebanders, and panel saws in manufacturing automation.
• Experience with PLCs and PC software for diagnostics.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work in customer plants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project workflow to ensure optimal operations.
• Lead installation, testing, diagnosis, operations, programming, maintenance and repair projects.
• Perform in-machine inspections to ensure conformance to design and function.
• Train customers on machine tool products and best practices.
• Communicate clearly with senior management on project statuses.

TheCNCFieldServiceEngineerwillhavethefollowingexperience:

• Electricalcertificationorelectronictechnologydegreehighlypreferred,orequivalentexperience
• 4+yearsofexperiencewithCNCmachiningcenters,CNCRouters,Edgebanders,andPanelSaws,toolsandmanufacturingautomation,instrumentationisrequired.(MetalworkingopportunitiesalsoavailableISO CNCmachiningcenters,millingmachines,lathes,turningcenters,grinders,pressbrakes,shears,plasmacutters,lasercutters,waterjetsystems,weldingmachines,rollformers,punchpresses,saws,andfabricationlines.)
• ExperiencewithPLCs(NUM,KAVARA,GOULD,BOSCH,MAGELIS,HYDRA,AB,TPA,SCHNIRAM,B&R)andPC’s(softlogice.g.XILOG,ASPEN,PANELMAC,OTTIMO,GCODES,MCODES)
• Strongexperiencewithelectro-mechanicalmachinerycommissioningandrepair
• Experiencetroubleshootinghardwareandsoftware
• Abilitytooperatehandandpowertools,aswellasmeasurementandtestingequipment
• Provenabilitytoprovideapositivecustomerexperience
