Job summary

Rapiscan, an OSI Systems company, seeks a Field Service Technician in the Philadelphia area to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Rapiscan systems with a focus on customer satisfaction and safety. You will follow service contracts, report outcomes, and coordinate with Customer Service for parts deliveries.

The role requires travel up to 75% and strong electronics repair skills, plus a valid driver's license and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• AS in Electronic Technology or Engineering with Mechanical experience.
• Technical degree or demonstrable mechanical ability.
• Military training may substitute for a degree.
• Knowledge of analog, digital and mechanical systems.
• 3 years in field service; x-ray industry desired.
• Networking hardware and software literacy.
• Database management and software/firmware protocols.
• Independent work and logical decision making.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Oracle workflow management or ERP familiarity.
• Ability to work on-call and off-hours.
• Stand, bend, lift up to 50 lbs daily; outdoor work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Willingness to travel domestically/internationally up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and maintenance for Rapiscan systems as directed.
• Meet response times, report information, and manage customers.
• Communicate during visits to align with objectives.
• Coordinate parts delivery with Customer Service.
• Maintain Field Service Tool Set and organize documents.
• Submit labor, expense and materials reports per policy.
• Follow safety programs and document safety incidents.
• Provide system status updates via CRM and mobile devices.
• Carry company devices and be on call as required.
• Ensure proper calibration return of tools and equipment.
• Lead site activities and coordinate with customers during emergencies.
• Complete trainings within stated timelines.
