Job summary

ZEISS Group in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, troubleshoot and calibrate the world’s most advanced measuring instruments at customer sites across the region.

You will travel 70–90% of the time, receive a company vehicle, tools and training, and have opportunities for rapid promotion after training. The role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Minimum High School graduate or GED or equivalent.
Tech School or associate/bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
Or training/experience from a Military Technical School.
Prior experience with hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
Microsoft Windows operating knowledge.
Able to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
Willing to work at least 50 hours per week (overtime).
Able to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.
Valid Driver License required.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, troubleshoot, service and calibrate advanced measuring instruments at customer sites.
Travel to customer sites in your region; 70–90% travel expected.
Document service work and maintain accurate service records.
Work independently while representing the company in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
