Job summary

IPS Packaging & Automation is seeking a skilled Service Technician for our Mauldin, SC team. The role focuses on field service installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of packaging equipment at customer sites, with a emphasis on troubleshooting, parts sales, and supporting joint sales efforts.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in technical service, a high school diploma, and strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical service experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PC proficiency in Microsoft-based programs and internet skills.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to fill out service reports and inspection checklists properly and completely.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, inspect, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment; assist in parts sales.
• Provide new equipment start-up services and promote maintenance programs.
• Manage service vehicle inventories and assist in sales calls for equipment solutions.
• Make quality service calls on customers and prospects; coordinate with manufacturers on repairs.
• Complete admin duties including computer, workflow, and pricing tasks.
• Take on other responsibilities as assigned by the Service Manager.
