Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers across the Mid-Atlantic region, based in the Greater Indianapolis area. The role involves installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial marking equipment, with extensive travel to customer sites.

The ideal candidate will combine electro‑mechanical troubleshooting skills with strong customer service to deliver in‑field support and training, while documenting service reports and participating in ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience troubleshooting electro‑mechanical machinery.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Experience training customers or end users on equipment operation.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in the field.

Responsibilities

• Install, demonstrate, maintain, and repair industrial marking, coding, and labeling equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro‑mechanical equipment issues at customer sites.
• Provide technical support and exceptional customer service during service calls.
• Train customer personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.
• Complete service reports and documentation in accordance with company requirements.
• Attend technical training sessions, meetings, and professional development programs.
• Assist with office‑based responsibilities when not traveling to customer locations.
• Stay current on market trends, technology advancements, and industry developments.
• Identify customer needs and communicate potential solutions when appropriate.
