Job summary

Vaco by Highspring, a leading manufacturer and integrator of industrial labeling equipment, seeks a Field Service Technician to support customers across the Upper Midwest. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment while delivering exceptional service and training end users.

The ideal candidate brings 2–3 years of electro‑mechanical troubleshooting experience, is comfortable traveling up to 60% of the time, and can work independently while managing priorities.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years electro‑mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience in field service with extensive travel.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to train customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Valid driver's license; able to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial labeling, coding, and marking equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and field service work at customer facilities.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system issues and implement effective solutions.
• Train customer personnel on proper equipment operation and best practices.
• Document service activities and complete required reports accurately and on time.
• Maintain strong customer relationships by providing professional, high‑quality support.
• Stay current on industry trends, products, and emerging technologies.
• Participate in company meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities.
• Assist with office‑based responsibilities when not traveling to customer sites.
• Identify customer needs and communicate potential product or service opportunities to internal teams.
