Job summary

Tech Systems Inc. (TSi) invites applications for a Field Service Technician Apprentice.

This entry level role trains with an experienced technician to learn installation and maintenance standards for electronic security systems at client sites. You will shadow technicians, assist with service calls and installations, follow TSI policies, communicate status with the Customer Service team, and work in accordance with OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some electronics or low voltage background preferred.
• Experience with installing card access and CCTV is a plus.
• Good computer skills with Microsoft products.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Respond to installation projects and service calls within assigned area to install or restore full functionality.
• Shadow an experienced technician and learn installation/maintenance standards for electronic security systems.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure tasks are handled per Tech Systems’ guidelines.
• Communicate status, progress, and resolutions to Customer Service.
• Work under OSHA safety guidelines and adhere to the Safety Manual.
• Assist with other technical support duties as needed.
