Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Field Service Team Leader to oversee a team of Field Service Engineers, supporting Cardiovascular systems across a broad U.S. territory.

The role focuses on installation, service, repair, and preventive maintenance for EP devices and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong project management, leadership, and communication skills; be comfortable with travel and flexible hours, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Trade Certificate with preferably 4/6 years related work experience;
• Associate degree with 6 years’ experience in Cardiology or Electrophysiology (preferred).
• Associate degree with 6 years’ experience as a biomed in hospital environment or in medical
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics/Electrical or Computer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and work with a team of Field Service Engineers in Managing Account Schedule
• Perform the installation, operation, repair and modification of equipment within assigned territory.
• Manage region and schedule to facilitate all aspects of technical/ engineering work required to support all products serviced.
• Responds to customer requests for emergency service; determine causes, troubleshoot, and take corrective action.
• Provide guidance to customers including Doctors, Nurses, and hospital Biomed engineers; assist with satisfaction issues.
• Devises and implements preventive maintenance programs and maintains records for equipment.
• Advise in design changes to improve equipment efficiency or reduce cost of operation.
• Devises project plans for installation-planning phase of new equipment
• Manage customer expectations regularly before & after interactions for satisfaction.
• Complete activities in the Service Management System daily; update & document.
• Process RMA returns to support usage of parts and equipment.
• Manage trunk inventories and complete required audits.
• Provide feedback for design improvement opportunities.
• Beta site support/installation
• Assist in on-the-job training with Field Service Engineers
• Assist management of service area
• Advance support and repair; core team participation
• Assist with design & improvement of products; regional training
• Ensure FSE follow Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and resources are available
• Regional escalation point for FSE support issues and service delivery
• Communicate business issues/opportunities to management
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies
• Performs other duties as needed.
