Job summary

California Water Environment Association Inc. seeks a Field Customer Service Specialist to ensure timely resolution of field service requests, meter reading issues, and related billing and customer service activities. You will work with CSA, CSC, and vendor teams to resolve problems and improve processes.

The role emphasizes meter reading accuracy, data integrity, and training for field staff, with opportunities to support audits and reporting while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associates preferred.
• 5 years of field operations or customer service experience in meter-to-cash processes or related systems.
• D1 water certification must be completed within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to Field Customer Service Supervisor and CSA staff.
• Review meter reading exceptions and field activity backlogs for timely resolution.
• Research and resolve meter discrepancies affecting billing and customer service.
• Perform quality checks and UAT for fixes and new processes in customer service applications.
• Assist in training field staff and vendors on meter reading procedures.
