Job summary

Otis Elevator, a global leader in the elevator and escalator industry, seeks a Field Service Manager to lead maintenance operations in the Tampa, FL area. The role emphasizes day-to-day management, staff training, safety, and cost control while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will report to the Service Sales manager in the Tampa territory, oversee field activities, and drive efficiencies across a growing service portfolio. Travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• High school education required; BA/BS degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working with a team of technicians.
• Leadership experience is required.
• Elevator industry experience is desired, but not required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
• Strong computer and technology skills and business acumen.
• Willingness to travel within the territory; valid driver’s license as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure field employee safety and quality of service in your territory.
• Plan, organize, and manage service field activities to meet customer needs and company standards.
• Ensure effective and efficient allocation of resources such as manpower and materials.
• Conduct field education training with the field workforce.
• Improve efficiencies and manage route schedules and callback rates.
• Understand how to provide technical support to field staff, self-provided or redirected to other experts.
• Authorize repair orders and track completion.
• Lead change toward better efficiency and communication.
