Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Service Manager for Transmission Services to lead a team of Field Service Engineers across North America.

You will coordinate resource planning, safety, and execution for outages, maintenance, and after-sales service, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet contractual targets. You will guide technical leadership for maintenance, commissioning, and modernization of HV equipment, while partnering with PM, engineering, and supply chain to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years in HV transmission, field service, or industrial project execution, with FACTS and/or HVDC experience preferred.
• Experience leading field service teams, coaching, and workforce development.
• Strong technical expertise in installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modernization of high-voltage equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, resources, contractors, and customer priorities with focus on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and execution.
• Proficiency in business and reporting systems (SAP, Salesforce, or similar) and willingness to travel 30–40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a geographically dispersed team of Field Service Engineers and technical specialists in high-voltage systems.
• Oversee resource planning, scheduling, utilization, and deployment of field personnel across service projects, outages, commissioning, retrofits, and warranty work.
• Provide technical leadership and escalation point for complex technical, safety, and resource challenges; oversee maintenance, troubleshooting, and modernization activities.
• Ensure safe, compliant field operations in line with OSHA, NFPA 70E, lockout/tagout, and site-specific protocols.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and contractors to drive readiness, manage risks, and ensure on-time, on-budget service outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement through standardization, lessons learned, and workforce development while supporting growth through technical input and execution strategy.
