Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking Senior Field Service Technicians to support critical energy infrastructure projects across the United States. In this senior role, you will lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of LV– HV equipment at power plants, substations, and industrial facilities, while mentoring junior technicians and guiding project crews.

You will work hands-on with 480V–600kV equipment, perform advanced diagnostics, develop test plans, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Trade school certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience leading field crews and mentoring technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing, commissioning, and maintenance on LV–HV equipment (480V–600kV).
• Perform diagnostics using test equipment and protect the relays.
• Develop test plans and execute commissioning procedures for upgrades.
• Supervise field crews and ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
• Complete reports and documentation using Power DB and other platforms.
