Job summary

Loma Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to travel nationwide, servicing metal detection, X-ray and checkweighing equipment. You will calibrate, test, and commission systems, while documenting service reports and promoting additional product offerings.

The role requires 3+ years in a technical role or 4 years military experience, strong electronics knowledge, and willingness to travel up to ~80%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in a technical role or 4 years of military experience; travel required.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment; read schematics.
• Able to document expense and service reports clearly; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Travel and deliver efficient field support to customers in food/pharma industries.
• Verify machines operate at peak performance by calibration and testing.
• Commission and test machines; perform preventative and emergency service.
• Document and report service activities (ESRs, Calibration Reports, Expense Reports).
• Promote sales of service contracts, new equipment leads, spare parts kits.
• Provide feedback on equipment reliability and design.
• Maintain parts inventory and company property.
• Exercise safe working practices and procedures.
• Conduct on-site training with customer personnel.
• Hold meetings with customers (scope/exit).
• Participate in weekend on-call rotation.
• Coordinate between field and office staff on technical issues.
• Attend refresher training and FSE meetings.
