Job summary

VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions GmbH in Austin, TX seeks a dedicated Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair industrial X-ray inspection systems at customer sites across the U.S.

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades, provide on-site and remote support, and deliver customer training while ensuring safety and quality standards. A 100% travel commitment is required, with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate/tech cert preferred.
• Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics or Industrial Maintenance background preferred.
• 2–4 years hands-on field service experience in x-ray or NDT is desirable.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial X-ray systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades.
• Provide on-site, remote, and phone-based technical support.
• Conduct customer training and system acceptance testing.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
• Travel up to 100% within the U.S. and internationally as needed.
