Job summary

Waters is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service instrumentation in a dynamic life sciences environment. The role involves daily travel to customer sites, performing complex troubleshooting on optical, fluidic and electronic systems while upholding GMP and ISO standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and 3+ years in instrument troubleshooting, with a valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

High School diploma required; basic academic competency for technical documentation and problem solving.
At least 3 years' experience troubleshooting instruments or components.
Valid Driver's License; travel up to 50% of time.
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's in Electronics/Engineering or related field.
Experience with diagnostic tools and on-site customer support is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Install and service instrumentation per ISO and GMP standards with minimal supervision.
Maintain stock, test equipment and accurate documentation; manage fleet and parts.
Track travel expenses and manage site visits within guidelines.
Report quality issues to Service Center and Engineering Manager.
Interface with departments to resolve customer issues promptly.
Represent the company professionally and uphold high standards of service.
