Job summary

Siemens Energy in Boston seeks ambitious engineers to join the Field Service Engineer in Training program. You will travel to power plants across North America, gaining hands-on experience with turbines, generators, and associated systems while rotating through classroom instruction and on-site placements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required by start date.
Willingness to travel 200-250 days per year and stay away from home for 2–15 weeks.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, with focus on safe, reliable energy infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Complete classroom and instructor-led training in Orlando, FL and Houston, TX, with on-site training at multiple customer sites.
Supervise technicians during power plant maintenance outages after training.
Coordinate upgrades and adjustments to turbine generators to improve power output and efficiency.
Serve as primary on-site engineer during outages, traveling across North America as needed.
