Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking candidates for its Field Service Engineer in Training Program. You will travel to power plants across North America, working with major turbines and generators.

The program blends classroom instruction with hands-on field training, preparing you to supervise technicians during outages and to manage equipment upgrades. Expect to travel extensively (200–250 days/year) and work long hours in demanding environments, with opportunities to contribute to critical energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Willingness to travel extensively (200–250 days/year).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Flexibility for long hours, weekends/holidays, and extended time away from home.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians during power plant maintenance shutdowns (planned/unplanned).
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators.
• Coordinate mechanical/electrical upgrades to improve output and efficiency.
• Be the primary customer contact during outages and travel to sites across North America.
