Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Field Service Engineer to travel across North America, supporting gas and steam turbines, generators, and auxiliaries. You’ll train in Orlando and Houston and lead outage work, collaborating with expert engineers at customer sites.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform testing, and assist with commissioning and modernization projects while upholding safety standards. The role necessitates extensive travel and extended shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of military and/or industrial experience along with a high school diploma or an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians and assistants during power plant maintenance outages.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble turbines and generators for performance optimization.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and conduct testing and inspections.
• Support commissioning, startup, and modernization projects.
• Travel across North America for assignments up to 2–15 weeks long, including weekends and holidays.
