Siemens Energy in the United States invites applicants to join a Field Service Engineer in Training Program that blends classroom instruction with hands-on field experience across North America. You will train with expert engineers at multiple customer sites, gaining skills in equipment operation, safety, project management and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required by start date.
• Travel 200-250 days per year for durations 2–15 weeks each.
• Extended hours 60–84 hours per week including weekends/holidays.
• Able to ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Recruiting for January/February 2027 with in-person interviews in Orlando or Houston.

Responsibilities

• During your first 12 months, complete classroom and instructor-led training in Orlando, FL and Houston, TX and participate in on-the-job training at multiple customer sites across the US.
• After training, supervise technicians during power plant maintenance shutdowns and oversee disassembly/inspection/reassembly of turbines and generators.
• Coordinate upgrading of mechanical and electrical systems on turbine generators to improve power output and efficiency, collaborating with global engineers.
• Serve as primary customer contact during outages, traveling across North America to support maintenance, inspections, repairs, upgrades and commissioning activities.
• Assist with disassembly, inspection, troubleshooting and reassembly, while developing project management, technical leadership and safety skills.
