Job summary

Talent Consultants seeks an Automation Service Engineer to provide on‑site service for automated laboratory instruments and diagnostic systems in a defined territory. The role involves installation, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair, ensuring compliance with specifications.

The engineer works independently, leveraging diagnostics tools and schematics, with travel to customer facilities and occasional weekend on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Biomedical engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of electronics and electromechanical systems (mechatronics).
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Familiarity with pneumatics.
• Basic understanding of computer networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory instruments and automated diagnostic systems.
• Support technologies including Kiestra systems, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, LC/MS.
• Diagnose issues in electronic, electromechanical, computer, and automated systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and equipment relocations.
• Document service findings and corrective actions in reporting systems.
• Communicate progress and recommendations to customers.
• Travel to customer facilities as needed and participate in on‑call schedule.
